PROJECT DESCRIPTION

GPS Dynamics: An Application of Airborne GPS Measurements to Studies of Atmospheric Dynamics is a field experiment that was conducted off the California coast using the Wyoming King Air to test the potential of using GPS-derived measurements in determining pressure gradient force (PGF). Measurements were taken to illustrate the coastal marine boundary layer features of the region, which in the summertime feature a persistent coastal low-level jet.
