VERTEX
Vertical Enhanced Mixing
VERTEX is a University of Delaware research project led by Cristina Archer to study the effect of the wake of a wind turbine on the atmosphere-surface exchange of momentum, sensible heat and water vapor.
The attached figure shows the array of 15 ISFS flux stations with the wind turbine located in the upper-right of the figure.Station labels indicate the distance from the wind turbine, normalized by D = 2 x blade length = 88 m.
