RMT DX6100
The RMT6100 is a fascinating tiny close-path analyzer for carbon dioxide with a sample cell volume of only a few cm^3. The source/detector images itself via a parabolic mirror on the other side of the sample cell. We tried using this to measure CO2 from the TRAM system, but found that calibration changes were quite large. Specifically, small changes in the mirror position, which was set using the force of screws pushing on a rubber O-ring, could significantly affect the calibration. Plausible readings were obtained by frequent adjustments to other, fixed, CO2 sensors, but ultimately we abandoned use of this sensor.
