Princeton University Zondlo Group

The Zondlo group at Princeton University developed the Open Path Ammonia Laser Spectrometer (OPALS) for airborne science missions. The team ran controlled experiments in the NCAR/EOL altitude chamber to characterize the instrument’s performance at different temperatures and pressures.

2024 CU Boulder Wind Team

The University of Colorado Boulder Wind Team used the NCAR/EOL wind tunnel for testing of their wind turbine prototype for the 2024 U.S. Department of Energy Collegiate Wind Competition where they placed second overall.
