Information about the location of the SOAS study sites

ISF Staff will be staying at the Candlewood Suites in Tuscaloosa. It is about a 35 min drive via Hwy 82 (shown above as 58), 5, and Payne Lake Rd to the SEARCH site. It is about 50 min via 58, 5, and 175 to the AABC site (Enter "Perry Lake Recreation Area" into Google Maps). It is about an hour via I-59 to the Birmingham airport (BHM).

Directions

Birmingham Airport to Candlewood Suites

• I-20W 52 miles to exit 71A, exit right
• AL-69S 0.6 miles, turn left
• Skyline Blvd 1.4 miles.  Motel on right. (651 Skyline Blvd E)

Birmingham Airport to AABC

• I-20W 32 miles to exit 97, exit right, then turn left
• AL-5S 39 miles, turn left (have to turn left after about 3 miles to stay on AL-5S)
• AL-175S 3.2 miles, AABC compound on left

Candlewood to AABC

• Immediate right on Skyline Blvd,
• Right on US-82E
• US-82E 28 miles, exit right, turn right
• AL-5S 18 miles, turn left
• AL-175S 3.2 miles, AABC compound on left

AABC to SEARCH

• AL175N 3.2 miles, merge left
• AL-5N 11 miles, turn left
• Payne Lake Road 2.5 miles, turn right
• Wooley Road one house, turn right on track to left of garage
• Park in designated area
