How Do We Know About Weather & Climate?
Please join us for a Teacher Workshop to explore the topic How Do We Know About Weather & Climate. You will have the unique opportunity to get an in-depth look at a cutting-edge research aircraft and learn about ground-based and airborne observational systems.
Who :: Christchurch area Middle and High School Science teachers
What :: Learn how the weather and climate are studied using both ground-based and airborne instrumentation while getting an in-depth look at a cutting-edge research aircraft
Activities will include: the opportunity to talk with mission scientists, engineers, and other project staff; explore the aircraft and instrumentation; learn why New Zealand is a unique location to study this atmospheric phenomenon; and learn new activities to teach climate science in your classroom.
When :: Saturday, 14 June from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Where :: Directions to the hangar will be given upon registration
